With the start of the new school year the girls in our Year 6 class all have the opportunity to put themselves forward for the leadership roles through either a speech or a letter of application. This week they have all prepared for the role of House Captain. Each girl is being brought into the classrooms of their peers through the use of technology so that they can share their prepared speeches and put themselves forward for the vote. The Year 6 girls who presented today took this new skill in their stride; managing the camera, the virtual audience and their speeches extremely well. They spoke with clarity and confidence, demonstrating a real understanding of what their peers would want to see in a House Captain. Children across the school will have the opportunity to vote for their House Captain on an individual ballot paper once all the girls have presented.
