The whole school had a wonderfully fun assembly in aid of Children In Need this afternoon. Miss Arlow and the three Charity Monitors in Year 6 gave the girls an interactive presentation on the importance of the charity.
The girls discussed the various parts of Children In Need and its history; it started on Christmas Day in 1927!
Miss Arlow explained the SPOT-tacular theme this year, and in support of it, the Lyonsdown girls were to do a SPOT-tacular keepy uppy of balloons in groups of three’s. The laughs and squeals of enjoyment rounded off the Friday afternoon perfectly!
Two of our Year 6 Maths Prefects bought Assembly to a close by setting a SPOT-tacular Children In Need maths time tables challenge, this is for the girls and teachers, we can’t wait to see the results!
