1906
Lyonsdown School was named after The Lyonsdown Estate
The Lyonsdown Estate was sold in the 1840s for development, leading to the creation of the New Barnet suburb. The original Lyonsdown School was housed in an early 20th-century building. This was the year Lyonsdown was established.

The new location of the School was, and still is, only down the road from the original.
