We are delighted to welcome visitors to tour Lyonsdown. Prospective families can join one of our ‘School in Action’ tour mornings, held during the week, or one of our Open Mornings held each term. To see when our next open events are taking place, please click here.

Once you feel that Lyonsdown is the right school for your daughter, the next step is to email admissions@lyonsdownschool.co.uk and request a Registration Form. This form should be completed and returned to the School, along with the non-refundable fee of £100. Families are encouraged to register early as Registered families are invited to key events and places are offered in order of registration date.

Girls joining us will be invited to an Admissions Meeting, to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for our Academic and Pastoral Provision and, together with their parents, take part in an informal ‘Compass Conversation’. These meetings usually take place in the Autumn term of the year prior to your daughter starting, although it can take place at any point, if places are available. When we arrange our ‘Compass Conversation’, we will also contact your daughter’s current nursery or school to ask them for a short report.

Girls joining us in other year groups across the School are invited to a Taster Day. When we arrange your Taster Day, we will also contact your daughter’s current nursery or school to request a short report.

Shortly after your ‘Compass Conversation’, and following receipt of your daughter’s nursery/school report, we write to families to offer a place where appropriate and in accordance with our Admissions Policy.

Places are offered in order of date of registration, after sibling and alumni places have been offered. If your daughter is offered a place, the offer is subject to our Parent Contract (Terms & Conditions), which you will receive along with the offer, detailing clearly the terms of agreement between you and the School. You will also be sent the Acceptance Form which you need to complete and return to the School, along with the £2,000 deposit, to accept the offer of a place. This deposit is non-refundable in the event that your daughter does not take up her accepted place.

We have a range of activities and events to support your daughter’s transition to School. During the Summer term, prior to starting, there are several opportunities for you to visit with your daughter, to welcome you all to the Lyonsdown community. Full details will be sent to you after you have accepted your daughter’s place.
